Spacial Services is the licensed practice inside that company. We take real projects from real clients. Our engineers use the software, check what it produces, fix what is wrong, and stamp it. The arrangement runs both ways. The practice gets tools most firms do not have. The software gets tested by engineers who are personally liable for the result. Problems show up on a live project instead of in a demo.
Is my project designed by software? No. A licensed engineer designs your structure and signs the drawings. That person is responsible for it under their license. The software handles the repetitive parts: drafting, checking numbers against code, and finding conflicts between systems. Engineers have used software for load analysis for forty years. This is the same idea applied to more of the set. Architectural design is different. Every plan, elevation, and section is designed by our architects. Designing a house is a judgment problem, and we have no interest in automating judgment.
